Aimé Cormier of Memramcook East passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Sunday, November 26th, 2006 at the age of 86. Born in Memramcook East, he was the son of the late Willie Cormier and the late Emma Saulnier.

Aimé Cormier He worked at the Bridge and Building unit for CNR until his retirement, he was a veteran of the 2nd World War and was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Memramcook East.

He is survived by his wife, Annie (Dupuis) Cormier; one daughter, Pauline (Vernon) LeBlanc of Memramcook East; five sons, Willie Cormier of Memramcook, Emery Cormier of St-Charles, Jean (Murielle) Cormier and Georges (Janice) Cormier both of Memramcook East and Oscar Cormier of Alberta; three sisters, Marie (late Fred) Léger of Dieppe, Agathe (late Jim) McDonald of Halifax and Anna (late Gilles) Millette of Quebec; one brother, Dismas (Lucina) Cormier of Memramcook East; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, Thomas and Roger; four sisters, Agnus, Eugénie, Philomène and Elise; one brother, Hervé.

Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, and the Funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Memramcook East on Wednesday, November 29th, 2006 at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
